I’m starting this blog so that I can share my ideas, projects, recipes, pictures, and adventures of being a married woman & a stepmom with my family and friends. Blogging is something that I have tried before but was not able to stay motivated to keep things rolling along. Getting lost in wording and trying to make things sound cute were putting more of a burden on me than being a release of energy. I’ve done some researching and with encouragement from a couple of close friends, I’ve decided to take up blogging once again. Knowing that someone is actually interested in my life makes me super excited. Therefore if even one person would read what I have to say, that would mean that I’m not just putting my ideas out there for no reason at all.
My way of blogging is to give me an identity outside of being a wife and stepmom. My two central roles are wife and stepmom, but it is important for me to continue to pursue my passions outside of my primary roles. A goal of mine is that my husband and stepdaughter see me as something other than just their wife and stepmom. I want them to see that I am creative, passionate, have a drive, and much more. Therefore sharing our life in this blog will let others know a little more about us and will allow me to try new things.
Being the person that I am, it’s hard to find other women locally that have the same interests and passions as me. My hopes are that through blogging I’ll be able to connect with other women who share my love of crafting, cooking, sewing, knitting, taking pictures, family adventures, and all things domestic. I love my married life and it gives me great joy knowing that I have a husband that loves and supports me and a stepdaughter that looks up to me with bright eyes and love in her heart. Though knowing that there are other women out there that share my desire to take pictures to express words, addiction to crafting, love of cooking, and focus on family and domestic life in general excites me.
I have a desire to see new things come to light, whether it may be creating a meal that I can share with my family, taking pictures that capture a moment, doing craft projects with my stepdaughter, or adventuring out into this great big world we live in. The way I look at it, is through creating things I can show how much I love and care about the people that are in my life.
